Gallery Requirements

We want to offer the users of our search engine a safe and comfortable search experience. This is why we have a number of requirements that galleries must meet before they can be admitted to the search engine.

A webpage is considered a gallery if:

  • It contains thumbnails for at least twelve pictures or four movies
  • Each thumbnail links directly to a picture or a movie in the same HTML page (i.e. not to an intermediate, "border" page or popup)
  • The pictures and movies are hosted on a server in the same domain as the gallery.

A gallery is rejected for any one of the following reasons:

  • The gallery has no valid URL.
  • The gallery redirects to a page on another host.
  • The gallery contains any kind of scripts, innocent or not.
  • The gallery contains illegal constructions. (e.g. popup, (i)frame, etc.)
  • The gallery contains words related to child pornography.
  • The gallery makes illegal use of copyrighted material.
  • The thumbnails are not in JPEG format or don't directly link to the movie / picture (e.g. GIF thumbs, image maps for linking, etc.).
  • The gallery changes; galleries are not allowed to change, for instance: session id's
  • The gallery does not contain at least 4 movie thumbnails and / or 12 picture thumbnails.
  • The thumbnails and pics they link have the same url (e.g. downscaling the picture with HTML so it can act as thumbnail).
  • The thumbnail urls do not point directly to the thumbnails, for instance: redirecting to the correct thumbnail.
  • The thumbnails are less than 10% of all images or textlinks in the gallery (e.g. logo's, borderart).
  • The thumbnails have to be at least 80 x 80 pixels.
  • The gallery contains more than one counter (makes pages load slowly).
  • The gallery promotes dialer programs.
  • The gallery contains SexSwap banners.
  • The gallery contains "Next", "More", "Page 1 Page 2", "Enter Here" or "Main" links.
  • The gallery contains banners or links pointing to linklists.
  • The gallery contains banners or links pointing to fora.
  • The gallery contains NastyDollars content, you may not promote their content.
  • The content is protected by a license, which is prompted after the surfer clicks on a thumbnail.
  • The gallery is hosted on a server that occurs in our blacklist.
